The candidate will assume the role of an intern and will have the opportunity to become a member of the Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Investor Relations, Trading, or Distressed Debt Workout teams. The Torchlight Summer Intern Program aims to provide exposure to the breadth of commercial real estate debt products managed by Torchlight, as well as functional knowledge of the operations of an asset management firm. In addition, a mentoring program is provided for each intern, providing access to individual guidance and experienced insight into the sector.

In this 8 -week program, commencing on Monday, June 1st, the summer intern will be introduced to:

• Commercial real estate debt underwriting and surveillance Investment management
• Various commercial real estate debt products including commercial mortgage-backed securities and mezzanine loans
• Distressed debt workout
• Marketing and investor relations for institutional clients
• Financial Control and Accounting matters for institutional and corporate clients
• The intern will work alongside experienced Torchlight analysts and will be provided with opportunities to meaningfully contribute to the team and will be competitively compensated accordingly

Please note that the intern within our summer internship program will be working in a hybrid environment, both remotely and in our New York City office. The intern must have housing and/or be located within the New York City metro area to participate in Torchlight’s internship program.
